Gebruik:
var sliced = string.slice( begin [, var einde])

Uitleg:
Deze functie neemt een deel uit de string, beginnend bij begin, tot aan einde. Hierbij zijn begin en einde de posities tellend vanaf het begin bij 0.


opmerking
substring() doet precies het zelfde als slice();,
terwijl substr() kleine nuance verschil heeft.
substr( begin [, lengte ] ).
De tweede parameter is de lengte en niet de positie tellend vanaf het begin.

Voorbeeld:
